In transit......

Arrived in Amsterdam.

Hey everybody.  Amy and I arrived in Amsterdam and just finished a breakfeast from Murphy's Irish Pub here at the airport.  Amsterdam looks beautiful from the air by the way.  Amy and I would love to come back to actually stay a while some day....
Breaky was quite good, and they were very accomodating to Amy's new dietary restrictions.  The Pub contained a separate "Smoking Area" behind a door designated as such in the rear corner of the room.  Amy and I watched in amazement as a steady parade of people filed into the room and 5 or 10 minutes later piled out again.  The interesting thing is everyone knew exactly where they were going, didn't buy anything and promptly left the pub as soon as they were done having a drag.  I would have to imagine that it is incredibly difficult to be on a long flight (or short for that matter) and have that craving for just one ciggy and perhaps the nicorette gum just isn't cutting it.................:).  None the less a somewhat amusing spectacle to watch from our table.
Amy is currently passed out in as comfortable position as she possibly can in these airport gate seats trying desparately to get some shut eye.  It's rougly 9:30am Sunday morning here and she didn't sleep a wink on our 8 hour flight.   The KLM flight was overall pleaseant, food was decent, flight staff was great and the selection of Movies, TV and music was extensive helping the time pass quickly.  By the way, we watched the episode of the Office where Michael Scott finally finishes his home movie "Threat Level Midnight" - hilarious!   Anyway enough rambling on for now, we'll update later after our arrival in Istanbul.  Talk to you all soon.
