We arrived in Istanbul and the memories of Turkish traffic and driving all came rushing back quickly to us in one high speed, no signals - no lanes necessary slap in the face.......and we loved it hahahaha!
Amy and I are staying at a hotel near the airport, we are leaving this morning on another flight to The Watermill in Faralya. Very much looking forward to some much needed relaxation on the beach and delicious homemade dinners and wine.
Last night however, we were able to meet up with my Aunt Barb who happened to arrive in Istanbul the very same day we did. Her and her friend Monique are staying here in the city until Friday before they head off on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We met Barb and Monique at their hotel last night in the old town near Topkapi Palace. We were hosted by a young man who identified himself as Al Pacino (Amy identified herself as Julia Roberts in return) and enjoyed hummus, tzatiki, kebabs and a bit of wine. It was awesome to be able share a delicious meal with family and new friends during our one night in Istanbul.
We are now off to paradise. We will update you all soon.
Lots of love,
Lance and Julia

Great picture with aunt Barb, definitely a keeper considering rather than just going over to her house when she lives in the same city as you, you decided to go to the other side of the world to have supper with her.....just saying....
